Pyrography literally means writing with fire.  It is a very ancient art form used for centuries by indigenous peoples the world over to decorate household objects.  Pyrography has been found on gourds thousands of years old.  This is a very adaptable art form, most commonly seen in the United States today on wood and commonly known as wood burning.  Here are some samples of Janice's work.
