Working on the downstairs hallway.  This after we have experimented with upstairs hallway regarding finish and repair techniques and seeing if they would hold up.  First old wallpaper was removed.

Here is a picture of the old wallpaper.

We are stripping the wallpaper off and then sanding what appears to be a thin layer of paint and drywall compound.  

The blue area is the original wall surface and it to what we will make the repairs necessary.

In a few short weeks it should like the upstairs

We have chosen to paint rather than go back with wallpaper the soil conditions are such that the house moves to much for wallpaper and the wallpaper is harder to repair.
